Only American quarried slate is used in our vases. The black slate comes from Pennsylvania, the greens, reds, and purples from the slate belt along the NY-Vermont border. Great care is taken in selecting the slate for it is naturally cleft from large blocks of stone that we inspect for consistency of color and thickness. Vases are bonded together, resined inside and sealed with a color enhancer leaving the surface residue free.

The stone vases are created using discovered glacial cobbles taken from sand quarries in the northeastern U.S. They are carefully selcted for shape, texture, and color. The stones are mostly granite, quartz or metamorphic rock, extremely dense and flaw-free. After working the rock, it is cleaned and sealed with an enhancer to bring out the complete range of colors.
